Volunteering

There are several ways people may volunteer to help at a PTA event.

  • Contact the event chairperson. This information is listed on both the web site and the PTA bulletin board (located in the Lee School near the library).
  • Sign up for the event on the PTA bulletin board, located in the Lee School near the library.
  • Indicate on your membership form that you are willing to bake or volunteer. A list of the names of people who have indicated their willingness to help will be submitted to the event chairperson, who will then contact people to recruit needed help.
  • Attend a PTA meeting and let the PTA Executive Board know you are interested and available to help.
  • Call a PTA Executive Board member. You can always call an executive board member for help. They will be able to get you in touch with the right person, or answer any questions you may have.

New Ideas

The PTA has several events that are scheduled every year, such as the Fall and Spring Book Fairs. We are also willing to discuss new event ideas that members may want to pursue. If you have an idea for a new event you think would be fun for students and families of the school, please take the time to fill out an New Idea Form and attend one of the monthly PTA Executive Board meetings. At the meeting, the idea will be discussed in further detail; if it decided that it is indeed something we have the funds/volunteer staff to accomplish and is worthwhile, the idea will be put on the agenda for the next PTA general meeting. A vote will then be taken at the general meeting so all PTA members can decide if the event will be officially added to the schedule.
